At Taylor Made Carpentry we are experts at creating an outdoor space you can be proud of.

Whether you need us to replace a simple gate or build bespoke fencing, decking or create a relaxing outdoor seating area we have enabled our clients to make much more of their outdoor space.

Outdoor Living

If your dream outdoor space is a tranquil oriental haven or chilled Moroccan themed sunken seating area, if you have the ideas we can build them for you. We can create chilled gardens with a romantic theme with places to sit around a fire bowl and soft lighting for the evening.

If you enjoy outdoor entertaining we can create outdoor kitchens with built in BBQs and canopied seating areas for when the weather's not as good as you'd hoped.

Pontoons & Jetties

We can also build or repair pontoons and jetties which require particular skill and craftsmanship. We use a mix of traditional methods and modern materials to ensure longevity and help resist the effect of water damage over time.

Animal Enclosures

We are great animal lovers here at Taylor Made Carpentry, as a result of our Sussex farming roots. We are therefore experienced at building wooden animal enclosures such as for chickens or ducks right up to enclosures and stabling for much larger animals.

We have recently started a new range of bespoke animal bowls. Each bowl can be 'Taylor Made' to the size of your pet. These are particularly useful for larger breed dogs where it's detrimental for them to bend down, or like ours who have particularly long ears!

We could even build a dog kennel in the design of your own house!

Other Works

Twisted Gazebo

Our outdoor work extends well beyond the everyday. We design and build bespoke garden structures including pergolas, gazebos and covered seating areas, each crafted to suit the space and style of your garden.

One of our most striking recent commissions was a twisted gazebo — a bold architectural piece built with intersecting timber posts that spiral upward to create a dramatic, sculptural form. Far from a standard garden structure, it doubles as a real focal point and talking point in any outdoor space.

Barns

We have extensive experience working on traditional timber-framed barns, from sympathetic repairs and restoration to full conversions. Whether you are looking to preserve an original agricultural building or transform one into a stunning living or working space, our craftsmen have the skill and knowledge to do it properly.

Working with oak and other hardwoods, we take care to match the character of the existing structure, ensuring new timber sits naturally alongside the old. The results speak for themselves.
